NCBTMB Response to Deshaun Watson Suspension

BURR RIDGE, IL —The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) stands with its colleagues and professional associations who have decried the NFL’s lack of appropriate action against Deshaun Watson.

NCBTMB stands for the highest level of professionalism and ethics in the massage therapy profession.  We advocate for the respect and safety of both therapists and clients.  No massage therapist should be confronted by the predatory behavior of clients like Deshaun Watson.  It is long past time that massage therapists be treated and respected as the professionals they are.
