NCBTMB Launches 2021 Certification Board Election

Burr Ridge, IL (January 12, 2021) –The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) announced today the launch of its election for new Certification Board members. Eligible voters have until January 26, 2021 at 5:00pm Central Time to participate.

This year, one new Practitioner Member will be elected. After a rigorous review process, Christopher Deery, LMT, BCTMB has been slated for election.

All eligible Board Certificants are asked to approve Mr. Deery’s selection as the next Practitioner Member to join the NCBTMB Certification Board.

The NCBTMB Certification Board is responsible for all aspects of the achievement of Board Certification, including developing certification criteria and examinations, evaluating candidates for certification, and maintaining the integrity of the certification process. The Certification Board ensures that NCBTMB maintains its status as an accredited certifying body within the massage therapy profession.

All eligible voters as of January 2, 2021 will receive login and ballot information via email no later than January 13, 2021. Voting closes Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 5:00 pm Central Time.

Election results will be released in late January 2021.
