Students rely on their massage school and instructors to prepare them for a successful career in the massage therapy and bodywork profession. That’s why NCBTMB works with educational institutions to ensure that the schools’ programs reflect a national standard of excellence. When students sit for the exam, they are able to demonstrate mastery of core knowledge and skills and are ready to begin their career as a licensed massage practitioner. Every time one of your students passes the NCBTMB exam, they stand as a testament to the merit of your institution.
Continuing education plays a critical role in NCBTMB’s recertification program. In fact, nationally certified practitioners recertify every four years, and those who select the CE option are required to earn credits from an NCBTMB Approved Provider. This ensures that certificants receive quality instruction of the highest standards.
We are committed to helping you understand the difference between different credentials in the massage profession and helping you enhance your business by hiring NCBTMB Certified therapists. We believe that you will find this information—and these enhancements—beneficial to your business. We look forward to working with you to expand your business and opportunities.
When it comes to the regulation of massage therapy and bodywork, the public’s health and safety are – quite literally – in the hands of our practitioners. That’s why NCBTMB works with state boards and legislators throughout the country to help ensure that residents have access to competent, ethical and professional massage and bodywork services.
