BOARD CHAIR
Susan Toscano, NCTMB, of Groton, Connecticut
NCB is proud to welcome Sue Toscano's return as Chair for the 2013-2014 term. Sue has a long history of supporting–and serving–NCBTMB. Sue was first elected to the Board of Directors in 1997, named Treasurer for 1998-1999 and held the position of Chair from 2000-2001. She has worked for 26 years in massage therapy school administration, primarily with The Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy, as well as the former New York College for Holistic Health Education and Research. CHAIR-ELECT
Leena Guptha, D.O., MBA, of Allentown, Pennsylvania
Dr. Guptha is passionate about education, regulation and advancing the profession toward global recognition. Her professional career spans more than 20 years and has encompassed Osteopathic medical practice, academic appointments as Professor, Dean and Campus President and the practice of complementary alternative therapies. Her personal mission has been to facilitate the integration of complementary alternative therapies into primary health care settings. "I believe this can happen within my lifetime and I take every opportunity to inspire practitioners to be Ambassadors of the profession, as well as bring stakeholders together for what I believe serves the greater good of the public, practitioners and ultimately society," said Dr. Guptha.

TREASURER
Alexa Zaledonis, LMT, CPT, NCTMB, of Annapolis, Maryland
Alexa ends a distinguished run as NCBTMB Board Chair in which she has helped oversee significant improvements within NCBTMB and its programs/offerings within the profession. During Alexa's tenure, NCBTMB completely revamped its product and services offerings to fulfill its mission of elevating the standards of the profession and went completely paperless. She remains on the Board to serve in her newly elected role as Treasurer. Alexa is the owner and operator of wellness spa Even Keel, and a graduate of the Baltimore School of Massage. Alexa passed the National Certification Exam in 2002 and is a certified Lotus Palm Thai Yoga Massage practitioner and instructor.

Jessica Abegg, MBA, MS, NCTMB, of Denver, Colorado
Jessica is the owner/operator of Sanctuary Massage in Denver, as well as the owner of Practice Attraction, where she works as a marketing and business coach to massage therapists, wellness professionals, and other holistic practitioners. Jessica describes her core mission as being "of service to massage therapists and holistic practitioners, to help them grow in their profession, to make a great living, and to make a lasting contribution to their communities." She helps clients think bigger about who they are and what they offer the world, while making a good income doing the work they are so passionate about.

Dr. Randy Snyder, DC, MS, CHCQM, NCTMB, of Carlsbad, California
Dr. Snyder states "This is an incredible time of change and challenges. Massage practitioners along with the nation are challenged by the economy, achieving advanced education, and new employment opportunities. I am really excited to return to the board as it gives me a renewed enthusiasm to apply my knowledge, education, and experience with my fellow board members to help overcome these barriers to professional growth and success. Since I was last on the board much progress has been made towards technology improvements, leadership, and enhancing our education." However, Dr. Snyder notes there is still much to do, and he "looks forward to working as a team player by making good things happen for all of us!"

Ronni Burns, of New York City, New York
