In serving the public’s trust – and in accordance with the Rules and Procedures Regarding Ethical and Professional Disciplinary Complaints – NCBTMB publishes sanctions imposed on certificants found to be in violation of the Code of Ethics and/or Standards of Practice. Below is a list of recent sanctions.

Florida
Sun Dok Kim, Satellite Beach, FL

The Ethics and Standards Committee permanently revoked Ms. Kim’s national certification effective as of September 14, 2010 pursuant to Rule 8.3 of the Rules and Procedures Regarding Ethical and Professional Discipline Complaints.

Oregon
Rick McDaniel, Clackamas, OR

The Ethics and Standards Committee permanently revoked Mr. McDaniel’s certification effective as of September 14, 2010 pursuant to Rule 8.2 of the Rules and Procedures Regarding Ethical and Professional Discipline Complaints.

Texas
Anna Ostarly, Austin, TX

The Ethics and Standards Committee suspended Ms. Ostarly’s national certification effective as of September 17, 2010.  The Committee found that Ms. Ostarly violated the following Standards of Practice: I(a) and II(a) and II(b).  The Committee also determined that Ms. Guan violated the following Code of Ethics provision: XVIII.

Wisconsin
Lisa Crafton, Wausau, WI

The Ethics and Standards Committee permanently revoked Ms. Crafton’s certification effective as of September 14, 2010 pursuant to Rule 8.1 of the Rules and Procedures Regarding Ethical and Professional Discipline Complaints.
