All of us, regardless of our chosen profession, enjoy different ways to relax after a hard day’s work. For some of you, that may mean spending some quality time on the couch with your favorite primetime television shows a few nights a week. Is it possible, though, that this same relaxing activity can cause your muscles so much tension? This may be happening to you—and you don’t even know it.

Each New Year brings the opportunity for new beginnings. For NCBTMB and our profession alike, 2015 also brings with it many changes—namely, our exit from licensure. With this major change in our rearview mirror, this New Year brings with it a renewed focus on NCBTMB’s core programs: Board Certification, our evolving Approved Provider Continuing Education Program, Assigned School Program, as well as finding new ways to support our growing number of National and Board Certificants. We truly believe this will be our best year yet—and we look forward to having you along for the journey.

First and foremost, I personally want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your overwhelmingly positive and inspiring support for NCBTMB’s recent changes and transformation throughout this year. I deeply thank each of you for taking the time to write to us, call us, and engage with us on our social media platforms.

When you really stop to think about it, it’s no surprise many of us often visit our massage therapists with back pain, discomfort, and dysfunction!
