NCBTMB Advanced Certification Examination

National certification has long represented the highest standard of excellence in the field. Now, NCBTMB plans to take the profession to the next level with Advanced Certification. Completely voluntary, the credential will build upon the educational, experiential and ethical requirements of national certification.

Who is on the exam development team?
A steering group of test development specialists, psychometricians and NCBTMB representatives is directing the development of the new credential. A task force of accomplished professionals is serving as the core body of industry experts, with subgroups dedicated to specific activities such as item (question) writing, item review and standard setting. The members represent a diverse group, with practitioners of different modalities, educational backgrounds, regions, ethnicities, genders and cultures. Individually, they bring experience spanning 8 to 30+ years. Meet the Task Force.
